Add TS050 support on Ubuntu OS of VIM3

Hello
I received the black flex cable and I tried to connect but it’s still the same.
@Gouwa

I have posted in a thread but didn’t get any reply yet

Can someone advice how to get it working with vim3?

I am working on cubocore manjaro which is aimed for tablet devices.

Hi

I have already feedback to our technical staff, and they will reply you as soon as possible, including the reasons for VIM1 powers on but No Display or UART Output.

Is there any plan to port TS050 driver and mipi support to mainline kernel?

I would love to build a plasma-mobile image for it, It will work very smoothly with vim3 as its way more powerful than any other sbc.

Currently we have build it for pinephone and pinetab.
Here

I have discussed some parts of the 4.9 lcd patch to be ported to mainline but as you have used Custom pwm back light driver instead of using the generic one available, it is bit confusing to port it. It would be better if khadas team can port it to mainline with a proper patch then we can utilize it and get ready to use tablet ui.

Looking forward for a positive response from the khadas team.
Thanks.

We don’t have plan for this now. Maybe a plan for this year, but we can’t guarantee the time.

Ok thanks for the update.

My biggest problem is now, I have to change the Display, Screen direction
and Touch response from Portrait to Landscape Mode.
This Mode can be stay fixed…!
I need no changing, because the displayed graphics on TS050 are part of a HMI.

Is there a possibility to do this…? or have somebody a Idee to realize this…?
Basis is Ubuntu last version of 4.9… kernel, and “Qt5” Creator (if it run error free ),
at the moment use we “qtkmm”, because it works error free!

Thanks for help and / or good ideas
