Please describe your issue below:

A shutdown script is accidentally running on reboot, and I need to access the GRUB menu to edit the script and remove the shutdown command. Holding ESC or Shift doesn’t work.

I don’t have an edge, pretty sure you can use a USB to TTL adapter on the linux debug port. Stop uboot and edit the grub config file then reboot.

Updating myself - simple solution was to boot from a separate SD image, then edit the problematic script (i.e. access the eMMC image file via /media/).
