Hi,

I wanted to use the BT adapter,in LE mode, so I run…
sudo hciconfig hci0 lestates|grep YES| wc -l
–>Can’t read LE supported states on hci0: Network is down(100)
sudo hciconfig hci0 up
–>Can’t init device hci0: Input/output error (5)

Is it me or something is wrong in this distrib with the bluetooth ?
thanks for your comments.

Hi, Ravelo:
Current release haven’t got Bluetooth tested yet, but will be added in this month’s release.

tks gouwa,
by the way, using an usb bt/ble belkin linux compatible dongle works ok on same Vim hw and same linux sw !
so, it is the embedded bt hw that does not work yet.

Thanks for the information.

May I know that what do you use for the Bluetooth?

@Gouwa, the dongle is a Belkin F8T065BF, with usb id 050D:065A you cand find here

I mean you use Bluetooth on Ubuntu server for what purpose?

I want to use VIM+server grade linux distrib +BLE for connecting devices (wearables, sensors, eventually actuators…) in a car cockpit,
a nice GUI and multimedia able GUI is really not what I am after.

Until now, I was using a beaglebone black or a rpi3, I’d like to replace them with a VIM board which has more power & resources
