Hello together,
Hello KHADAS Members!
We have been working on a project for more than 3 months in which the VIM3-pro boards to
form an essential part.
Here in the forum we have already asked one or two questions about various hardware elements.
Unfortunately, the respective answers to our questions were unsatisfactory or were
not answered at all.
The questions about the GPIO hardware were answered insufficiently,
unprofessionally by KHADAS.
For this reason, we have programmed our own GPIO library with the name “WiringVIM3”
to take advantage of the hardware options of the 40 Pin, to be able to fully use the GPIO’s.
The project is currently closed because essential hardware and software elements are not
functional with the VIM3-based boards.
In parallel to the VIM3 boards, we are now testing RADXA RockPi4 boards in the
hope of achieving better results here.
The following problems still exist with the VIM3 boards:
Using of Ubuntu Version VIM3_Ubuntu-xfce-bionic_Linux-5.3-rc4_arm64_SD-USB_V20190830
is absolutely imperfect, WiFi and some more don’t work, we stopped working with this.
- Instead, we currently use VIM3_Ubuntu-xfce-bionic_Linux-4.9_arm64_ SD-USB _V20190830 .
With this version, the graphics functions that are functional under Linux-5.3-rc4_arm64 …
are no longer functional under this version. The installed Qt5 Studio software doesn’t
work , but under Linux-5.3-rc4_arm64 … was this OK.
- TS050 Screen still does not work with the Version
VIM3_Ubuntu-xfce-bionic_Linux-4.9_arm64_SD-USB _V20190830
It’s possible it works only with VIM3_Ubuntu-xfce-bionic_Linux-4.9_arm64_ EMMC _V20190830 …???
-
The HDMI output can still not be used when using MIPI-DSI.
-
The Fan doesn’t work under this Linux-4.9_arm64 … Version
Asks… !
Get we an answer to our questions, we are sure, that these problems have many professional users.
There will be a release soon, a new Ubuntu version, take all these errors into account …?
Is there a timetable for that …?
We think, to sell only quantities without professional and fast support, we shouldn’t be any more
in these fast product lifetime circle.
