Why does Twister OS use Docker to run Chromium? For some reason, GPU acceleration does not work for me. In a regular Armbian, everything works at once. VPU does not work anywhere.
To get widevine to work so user can watch drm content like netflix, amazon and etc.
It uses armv7 chromium package.
Does it useful without VPU support?
There’s currently no HW VPU support on mainline linux. Maybe you need to consider Android if you need VPU HW.
Yes, it’s useful to have a functional mainline linux desktop with GPU HW, even without a HW VPU.
A lot of work has been put by many developers to reach where we stand right now in terms of Linux software development for Arm64 platform . Use what it works.
- screen flickering its was not uboot problem
- its was a kernel pcie drivers problem - i think its will be fixed in mainline kernel soon - but still stay problems on discussion stage

- all our kernels already have this patches ( krescue & fenix )

Its ok till 720p on a small screen but not ideal for anything higher than 720p with bigger screen.

IMHO In this case, it is much easier to use the standard Chromium from Raspbian.
