ToneBoard died?!

Hello,

my toneboard was working fine with a vim3 for some time, although it hat the oddity that it would only work if connected to USB and GPIO, GPIO alone would not work.

As I started it in he morning, I cannot connect to the board.
I checked with my gentoo pc:

VIM3 Android Pie V201112: Fan not working!

Hello, i found with the new VIM3 Android Pie V201112 ROM Release my fan is not working anymore. It is the genuine khadas fan and has worked with the old version of android. This install is a fresh install (I did it two times now without any bettering) Any hints?

Well, it kind of looks like it. This occured with my other vim3 though where I don’t have a fan at all.

Sorry, I dont have a camera at hand, but it is a straigt connection from the toneboard with usbc to usba on my pc motherboard. I have already tested several cables (khadas genuine among them) and also my notebook and vim3 -> same effect
