TONE BOARD on VIM1 or VIM 3L

I purchased a tone board with the pins and I want to mount it to a vim board , I noticed that there’s a new one coming out the Vim 3L but it’s going to be about a month .I was wondering if you think that Vim 1 would be okay for my build or should i wait for the vim3l ? all I want to do is put music on a card on the sbc and play it through my tone board to my amplifier… that’s all I want to do with it …any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you very much ,Randy

All VIM models/versions will work with the Tone Board.
Tone Board can be mounted to the VIMs or not mounted and connected to it by USB cable.
You will need to determine which VIM model/version best suits your needs. However, any VIM model/version should able to meet the need to play music, from internal storage, from a card or USB connected storage, with ease.
