Sata expander m.2

The VIM3 only has a one lane m.2 slot

won’t work, as it’s two lane.

Does anyone know of a 1-lane sata expander?

Hello, Maybe I misunderstand the question. I don’t think sata is available on the m.2 connector.

Hi,

I’m looking for a solution limilar to:
https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-h2/application_note/6_bay_nas_with_sw_raid

I read the vim3 hardware documentation and noted it has one pci-e lane on the m.2 slot
so the above ‘odroid solution’ won’t work.

any suggestions? (no USB suggestions please)

Not sure it matters for your needs, but for SSDs, the m.2 can only handle m.2 NVMe drives. It cannot use m.2 sata drives.
