[ROM] SC VIM3 Pie ATV Debug v5 20211119

Well, seems like it is some other issue then…

check this assembly on your board, can you?

I just realised i have a USB 3.1 Type-C connection port on my Laptop
I’ve never tried using that port.
Anyone care to advise if the Burning tool works with that ?
I’ll give it a shot at a later time.

you can try to connect, if the board recognizes, then it should be fine

Yes, USB-C 3.1 works, tested on my laptop too…
there shouldn’t be a problem there as USB is generally backward compatible…

Used the USB Type-C Port on my Laptop with Amlogic Burning Tool to Rollback
SC_VIM3_DEBUG_ATV-v2.0-20200117

Flashed first time :grinning:

CoreELEC boots with this older Rom using Switch OS option Power Menu.

So I’ll wait for a fix on next @superceleron ATV

Current V3 will not boot with CE SD Card inserted.

Thank’s to everyone who replied to my posts.

hmm interesting, i need to check it myself.
What particular CE you using(build) so i can try in my one?
This seems a uboot issue, there was a few changes done to uboot on khadas repo, i need to see it in debug shell.
Anyway is not something i can try it right now since im busy as hell this next 2 weeks.

CE 9.2.4.2 (Stable)

Certainly something gone wrong with uboot.
Considering i never even got to try the first time boot process to install the script.

No rush. I have enough hardware to keep testing at CE.

@superceleron

Decided to give this V3 ATV build a try and found I got blocked up.
On first boot it forced me into the setup for wifi, when there as I only had a mouse for input I tried to enter my wifi key but it would not take any input to the onscreen keyboard.
It looks like its designed to only allow for using a remote?

I may have one at work but thought you might like to know that the onscreen keyboard does not work with a mouse.

Thanx

sorry ATV roms is like true atv build, you need a remote or if you have an android phone you can install this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tv.remote&hl
And then connect to the box and voila.

All good, I plugged in a USB keyboard and got past it. I was mainly wanting to try the android assistant as I cannot get it to work on any VIM3 android build yet.
I am starting to think the assistant cannot work through Bluetooth at all, but does work with IR remotes…

hmm weird here works just fine with BT remote and an 2.4g remote.

what exact BT remote have you got it working with?
@superceleron

I will order one :slight_smile: lol

i dont think you can find this one for sale…

ya I dont think they sell it separately, only wtih the X-Brain from what I can see.

Actually I cannot find a BT remote at all.

The only BT remote I know of is the Nvidia Shield remote.
This one I have and can pair and use, but no voice commands come thru.

yes i know you cant find it, that is the company i work for and we do not do retail boxes, only for telecoms.
I do not have a shield :frowning:

@superceleron

I took my other Nvidia Shield remote and tried it now too, this is the newer version, the 2019 version and it does not work either.

at this point I would be willing to send you one of my BT helmet devices to test yourself!
But I also know you dont have all the time in the world for these things :slight_smile:

Sorry late reply, to busy…
Ye this is not a good time to send anything, especially international.
I will try to get at least an shield remote, and when i have the time i will check it.

Thank you much, I will stop talking about this BT issue here now as this is an ATV thread and i was only trying the ATV version as a test. This is actually for a CarPC build used on my motorcycle so I would be using the Tablet build.

Thank you for any time you put into this!!

Hi guys, im sorry the lack of updates, very busy in the last couple of months.
I should be doing a new update soon, since is in a really need of one.
