Meson-ir driver not loading in Ubuntu 18.04.3

Hello everyone!

I have a Kadas Vim 1 and I want to read some ir codes from my remote control

I’ve tried to use the command ir-keytable but it returns “No devices found”

Any ideas how to enable the ir receiver?

Here some commands about my system status

Hello, I am unfamiliar with the ir-keytable command. I am just a casual Linux user. Looks interesting.
I only reply to say that the ir receiver should already be enabled.
I say that because I just used the Khadas ir remote earlier to power off the VIM1 while running Armbian from USB thumb drive.
I will check that command when I get back to the house.

@mikepap1 Had a chance to check, here are some screenshots of ir-keytable and dmesg|grep meson…

dmesg_grep%20meson
I have an Android on eMMC, running Armbian from USB thumb drive.

I also have an android and I tested there and it didn’t work… :frowning:

I do not have Linux installed to the eMMC, I have Android on the eMMC. I am running Armbian from a USB thumb drive.
Don’t know if this screencap will give you any ideas…

Thank you for your time my friend.

When I use the command

ls /sys/class/rc/

It turns out that is an empty directory…

Also I tried

root@Khadas:/dev# ir-keytable -d /dev/amremote EVIOCGNAME: Inappropriate ioctl for device
EVIOCGID: Inappropriate ioctl for device
root@Khadas:/dev#

You are welcome, unfortunately I am not fluent in Linux, so I cannot help much.
Maybe @balbes150 or @numbqq can offer some insight.

It might be helpful to those that can help, to specify what OS and Version is installed on the eMMC. Also, if you run an OS from USB drive, specify OS and Version.
Hope you find a solution.

I tried this:

But no luck decoding my tv remote

Also I am running the Os from the emmc and it is
