Could always switch to pure Linux. The VIM3 is essentially a hypercharged Raspberry Pi 4.
I am building a carpc adapted to a touch screen motorcycle setup with bluTooth helmet.
I have looked extensively at the linux GPS offerings and pretty much hate them all.
I do however very much like how google maps works, thus I am sticking with Android.
Right now I am wishing there was an android auto head unit O/S load for the VIM3
