How to use my laptop display

Hello, I have an older IBM laptop (A22p 2629 U2U) that I want to bash to get the display to use for my VIM3. Its a 15" UXGA.
I don’t know how to do this. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, If you search this term, “turn laptop display in to monitor”, at Google or other search engine, you’ll see several articles on repurposing a laptop display.

WOW! I have a lot to read now. Then I will have to understand how to connect it to a VIM3.
Thank you!

As far as interfacing to LVDS from the VIM3, not sure if that could be done. Besides, something has to handle the backlight/inverter.
So converting a laptop display to HDMI might be easier, IMO.

Yes, I think I will have my HDMI Monitor work as well as having the screen I bought from Khadas.
Thank you all for your input.
How do I mark this complete?
