On the download page, I see that I can get an image for XFCE, KDE or a minimal installation. Should I just use the minimal OS and install the X Window System and the desktop using pacman from the command line? I also want to use entrance as my display manager, but it is an AUR package only - can I run octopi from a terminal or do I need to install another helper like pikaur in order to do that? Thanks.

If your talking about Manjaro minimal then yes you can download X window and desktop separate while you can install yaourt I think to get package from archlinuxarm.
