Hi, here we release a multi-boot ROM for Khadas VIM Pro, check Firmware Page to download the ROM.

Release notes

  • Attention: for VIM Pro model only!

  • Version: VIMPro_DualOS_Nougat_Ubuntu-16.04_V171028.7z

  • MD5: 3528b6ac29bc6ca3d41dc6ed2c391dd5

  • Android OS, based on VIM_Nougat_V171028

  • Ubuntu linux kernel update to the version 4.9.40

  • Partitions:

    • Android: around 6GB
    • Ubuntu: around 10GB

Multi-OS Switch

  • First boot: Android OS
  • Android --> Ubuntu: Long press Power button, choose Reboot to Ubuntu menu
  • Ubuntu —> Android: choose System->Reboot to Android menu
  • Restart memory for DualOS: will boot into last O/S when run reboot

Will there be separate releases of Ubuntu and Android?

One more question, where can i see Ubuntu changelog, i assume there is still no hw acceleration?

I hope that this sd card release will become a part of every update, i don’t know much about it, but i don’t believe it should be a problem.
