HTPC using Ubuntu

Hi,

I recently received my VIM2 and was hoping to use it as a HTPC with a linux distribution rather than android. However, I noticed that Kodi version is somewhat old (15 I believe) and there was no CEC for control with remote controller.

Is there any way to “fix” these?

Did you ever figure out the CEC? I’m curious about this too.
